
HAROLD (MICK) 27 JANUARY 1910
Harold was born on the 27th January, 1910 in Farina. Harold went to school at (Kyre) Scotch College. He was an Old Scholar.
He was known as Mick. His first school teacher said he didn’t look like an Harold, you are a Mickey Fatt, and the name stuck. Colin his younger brother always called him Harold.
Mick worked in the South Australian Railways, working at Balaclava, Peterborough, Islington and at the Head Office.
On the 22nd June 1935 Harold married Maud Edith Grimshaw. They lived at Henley Beach.
In the 20’s and 30’s, Mick joined the Henley and Grange Sailing Club and he competed and won many races.
He played golf and tennis. He was a member of the Thebarton Probus.
Maud passed away in 1989. Mick passed away 24th July, 2002 in Adelaide.
